Our client represented a company involved in an industry that is coming under increasing governmental scrutiny due to its creative use of the internet. While preparing to respond to litigation, executive management decided to turn this single burden into an opportunity by looking beyond the needs of the immediate case.

Solution

Daegis® had already been retained to collect custodian data. In addition to data collection specialists, our team included a Daegis consultant who was given access to senior management and primary data custodians for the purposes of compiling information regarding the company’s current practices as they related to the use and retention of ESI. Based on interviews and a review of existing policies and practices, Daegis was able to assess the company’s current state of litigation readiness and make recommendations for implementation of best practices regarding the use and retention of ESI.
