Technical Support Analyst (San Francisco)

The Technical Support Department team is responsible for logging and investigating customer issues, responding to queries within agreed SLAs, diagnosing, and resolving issues relating to the operations of all Daegis products. This position requires a technology professional capable of quickly analyzing issues, communicating and documenting proper solutions. This is a highly technical, client-facing role that requires superior customer service skills. This is an ideal position for a recent college graduate or an industry professional that is an expert in office technologies and firmly understands programming logic and relational databases.

PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for someone to cover the 2PM to 10PM PST shift.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Respond to client inquiries (via web, phone, and email) about technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues by using available information resources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and escalate to support resources when necessary.
  • Analyze problems/issues/inquiries, own issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Recreate client reported bugs in the production environment and analyze errors and log files before escalating to QA/development.
  • Advise users on appropriate action.
  • Monitor operational disk usage and other operational indicators of database servers; follow automated and manual maintenance procedures.
  • Participates and supports monthly servers and databases maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports to inform management of potential problems and identify issue trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field.
  • Knowledge of SQL language and SQL server technologies is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and scripting language such as Perl and JavaScript.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint with 2003/2007/2010 releases.
  • Experience in litigation support and/or document management systems is a plus.
  • Strong client focus: troubleshooting and follow-up skills; commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Solid communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Confident and able to operate independently within defined guidelines.
  • Must be able to work weekends and willing to be available for overtime as necessary.
